What We Do 
The Helotes Humane Society Pet Food Bank has seen a great reduction in donations over the last several months. In the past we have been blessed with donations from retailers and the general public as well as the San Antonio Food Bank and the Daisy Cares program. In recent months we have been forced to go out and purchase the food needed for our monthly distributions. In light of this, we have come to the painful decision to discontinue the monthly distributions. The December distribution will be our last until further notice. The HHS Pet Food Bank will continue to collect donations of pet food to feed the homeless animals of the Helotes Humane Society. When donations permit, we will distribute to other small rescue groups, Casa Helotes Senior Center, and certain individuals on an emergency only basis.

Should the economy begin to recover and we again see donations from large retailers increase, we will re-evaluate the situation and decide whether or not to begin distributions to the public again.
