Listing your animal for adoption through the Helotes Humane Society -
Fostering
- HHS does not have a facility to house animals; we rely on our foster providers. Often, our foster space is limited. We sincerely want to help you place your animal and will help in anyway we can. Ideally it is best if you can act as a foster provider for the animal. HHS can provide you support until we can jointly find the animal a forever home.
-
As a foster, HHS will insure the animal(s) are spayed/neutered, pups and kittens will be given first shots as well as wormer and all animals will be micro-chipped upon adoption. The animal(s) will be listed via Pet Portal and shown on 5 locations including www.petfinder.com. Hard to place animals may/or may not get additional coverage. HHS will collect and retain the adoption donation.
Fosters must provide daily care for their animals and commit to attending 2 pet adoption events each month. - Helpful Suggestions
- Puppies and/or dogs MUST be heartworm negative with proof of a current heartworm test.
- Kittens and/or cats must be feline leukemia negative with proof of current feline leukemia test.
