all they want to do is help, they started from nothing and have grown so much in a short amount of time placing hundreds of animals in news homes.

Not only do they do good for the animals in their own community, but they have reached out several times and helped our TNR group adopt out kittens at events. I respect and admire the Helotes Humane Society.

They do wonderful things for their community and supply a well needed service to lost, and unloved animals.

These folks do more for animals with fewer resources than any shelter/rescue group in San Antonio. I love them, and what they do. Their food bank is an innovative program that others should emulate.

Helotes Humane Society uses a network of foster homes to care for animals, which ensures they are well socialized and ready to be part of a family of their own.

A new humane society who has already done SO much for the community, this would help them do EVEN MORE!!!!

OMG - the best dedicated folks. All volunteer group formed a foster home network for animals in need. In addition this group formed a Pet Food Pantry that distributed pet food to families experiencing financial problems. They have distributed over 50,000 pounds of food since June 2008. The group also raised funds to provide low cost and in some cases free neutering. They will even go out and pick the animal up and deliver it to the vet for neutering. HHS has earned the respect of the all the other rescues and shelters in San Antonio.
