Everyone who volunteers at HHS is extremely caring and dedicated to the welfare of animals in our community. The volunteer team spends countless hours trying to better our community and the lives of our furry friends by playing animals in great homes as well as doing community outreach such as low cost spay/neuter surgeries and a pet food bank for needly families. Such a great organization in its infancy and only greater things can be expected going forward in the future.

The Helotes Humane Society really makes a difference not only in our community by in all of San Antonio. They cooperate across city boundaries to focus a great group of volunteers where it is needed most. In just a couple of short years they have gone from nothing to become the best of the best. Big High Five to HHS. You rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I joined this group because they set up a program to foster animals in homes, not in a shelter environment. This is so important not only to the animal, but to the family who adopts. HHS is one of the very few organizations (in a city of close to 2 million people) that has a Pet Food Bank. They actively fundraise and seek grants to grow their spay/neuter and educational programs, which are sorely needed in a city that euthanizes 30,000+ animals each year. And HHS does it all with VOLUNTEERS! Awesome group of folks!

Hundreds of animals are dumped in Grey Forest and Helotes every year... now we can take these animals to someone who cares - the Helotes Humane Society... someone who can help medically and someone who will do everything in their power to find a home for these abandoned animals...

The Helotes Humane Society is dedicated to helping strays throughtout the area. Their dedication and love of animals is admirable! They pay alot of attention to their inhabitants and shower them with care paying special attention to those in need of medical attention. Larry

A group of awsome people volunteering together for saving the life of innocent dogs and cats abandoned or lost from their previous owners. Every pet is fostered in a loving home waiting to be adopted from the next forever family. This guys are doing a great job!

This is a marvelous, hard-working group of volunteers. The animals are placed in foster homes for care, training & socialization. The pet food bank gives food to needy families & small, private shelters. They provide vet care, neuter/spay services...I could go on and on and on!!!!!
