Robbie Wants a Forever Home for the Pawlidays!
This good boy, Robbie (Pitbull Terrier), came to HHS in November 2020 when he was already 2 years old. Five years later as a senior (and currently the longest rescued dog at HHS), he is still looking for his home. Robbie prefers a female-only, cat-free home where he can thrive. He still would enjoy having a home with an active lifestyle especially where he can enjoy outdoor activities and walks.
If you are what Robbie is looking for and are looking for a faithful companion, check out Robbie’s profile here.
Please help however you are able — adopt, donate, foster, volunteer!
The Helotes Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to placing rescued animals in loving homes. All of our animals receive age-appropriate vaccinations, testing, a microchip, and spay or neuter surgery, if needed. Adoption fees vary based on species, breed, and other features. Fees start at $150 for cats and kittens and start at $250 for dogs and puppies.
Helotes Humane Society is a foster-based rescue with the majority of our adoptable pets residing in foster homes. We are not a shelter, so we do not usually have adoptable pets at our office location. To meet one of our adoptable pets, please complete an application (no obligation) to connect with our foster team.
Remember, don’t shop, adopt!
As a small non-profit organization, we rely heavily on donations and volunteers to fulfill our mission.
During this holiday season, Hill Country Animal Hospital and Town and Country Veterinary Hospital are hosting angel trees to collect donations. All of our foster animals have made the nice list this year, so check out our Wish List for ideas to make their wishes come true.
Donations provide the support to provide medical care, food, and necessary supplies for our foster animals. Check out our ways to donate here.
Volunteers help us foster animals, run adoption events, plan fundraisers, maintain our facilities, sort donations, answer phones, create materials, and a myriad of other tasks. Interested in joining our team of volunteers, complete an application and we will help you find the right spot for your skills and talents.
Second Chances Thrift Shop is a hidden treasure that helps support the Helotes Humane Society. If you are looking for that special unique item you won’t find at the big box stores, come visit us! You’ll find everything from books, clothing, and household items to antiques and collectibles. We do the sorting, you do the discovering!
We accept item donations to help support rescued animals.
